Select modular systems have the functionality to let recruiters or the business line know when a desirable candidate applies. "Many recruiters want to be informed when a great potential candidate they have met at an event actually applies," says client services director Chris Willimott. Clients can now input potential star candidates into their systems safe in the knowledge that if they apply the recruiter or manager will be informed so as to fast track strong candidates beating the competition for talent.

04/10/07: Now multiple recruiting brands need only one system

The Select Enterprise platform has the ability to 'partition' client brands. That is global clients with global recruiting programmes can use one system that can be fully branded to their respective recruiting brands. GTI Online Solutions technical director Andrew Breen: "This new Select functionality had been in R & D for some time. Essentially it means that a company group can use one system as a hub with different access points for administrators and candidates - each access point caters for the needs of: the organisation they are working for in the case of the administrator; or applying to in the case of the candidate. It's perfect for an organisation with a number of brands that wants all its applicant tracking reporting, administration and processing to follow strong house rules."

18/09/07: HR professionals want more time and turn to technology for help

A report based on a survey of nearly 800 senior HR professionals showed the majority of respondents stating that the most common difficulties encountered in the HR function were having insufficient resources (40%) and not having the technology to support administration.
